Welcome, welcome, welcome everybody to Top Line Live at Five and my name is Brian Devine here with Top Line. And today, we’re going to be talking about something that I find fascinating, and that is how are the patients that are coming to your practice are becoming more and more impatient. And yes, I’m playing with words but the research that has come out recently from Google is that there is a 200 percent increase in searches .So what’s happening is people are searching on their phones and they are saying I want something that is open, I want something I can get now and I want something near me. And that over the last two years has increased 200 percent. So we are getting more and more impatient as patients and it is a real opportunity for us as marketers.
And I’m very excited about it because what that means is, we’ve been talking about the voice search engine optimization, voice optimization and we know that that is the path. But this new data from Google and I want you to see that it is directly from Google there and hopefully you’re still hearing me still trying to figure out the software. How to help today’s impatient customers on every step of the purchase journey? This is a good article worth reading, but there’s that data that was just telling me about, finding out what people want is, is all about that voice search. There’s a six times growth in mobile searches to buy near me. I mean, that is amazing. That is a huge, huge growth. So please read that. And this is what we’re talking about here, being there with answers.
Now, the reason I’m talking about this as a huge, huge opportunity for you is because if you are taking the time to optimize your website for voice, for these questions that people are asking in their phones, that you have an opportunity to come up really early. Now, the other piece of data that I found fascinating is that Google has shown that 60 percent of mobile searches go without a click. Now, what that means is that somebody does a quick search on their phone and they get the information they need right there on their phone screen. They never actually have to click on anything to get more details, more information. That’s fascinating and frightening somebody levels. I think what frightens me is that people ask a question and they figure whatever came up first.
It’s got to be the right answer and they don’t do anymore digging. They don’t really do the research. That’s scary, but it’s something that we need to be aware of because it means that if you are the one who was able to answer that question and give them the information that they want, and it’s right there on their screen and it’s you and you’re going to, you’re going to be the one that gets that phone call, that gets that new patient. So it’s a great opportunity that I want to make sure you’re aware of and that you can get in front of. And we have a new tool that we’re testing out and what it does is it basically generates a report for how your website is optimized. And then it’ll look at all the different pieces of that puzzle and tell us, and we’ll send it to you, but send you exactly what needs to happen. And I think it’s a really great tool.
