Welcome, welcome, welcome everybody! My name is Brian Devine and welcome to Top Line’s Live at Five! We are going to be talking about something that I find really interesting and that is Facebook persona pages.
The reason I am bringing this up is because we found that sometimes when we run a campaign and we run it through what we would call a “persona” as opposed to a business then, we actually get slightly better results. So, what am I talking about with a persona? Well, essentially Facebook allows you to create these pages that are for people. They can be a brand, they can be, oh there’s all kinds of options that you have and one of them is to be a person. It doesn’t have to be a real person.
Now, Facebook is very clear about their Terms of Service that you can’t create a whole bunch of accounts under different names. So, creating a profile under a different name is not something that they want you to do. So, don’t do it. It’s not worth it. Just don’t do it.
However, what you can do is create these persona pages and they allow you to do that. So, it’s connected to your Facebook main page. Then, you create this persona and what I’m going to do is, I’m going to show you what we tested in the past and this isn’t I’m giving up the gig here.
So, if you’ve seen this one, I might have to replace it. But, this is a persona that we’ve run some ads through and actually gave us a nice little boost. It was more for engagement than anything else that people were willing to respond and chat and comment on as that we ran through this person. So, when we run the ad, instead of the ad coming from Top Line Management or any one of our our main pages on Facebook. It came from Don Pine. This is actually not a profile. This is considered like a business fan page and that’s how we’re able to do it.
You can create as many of these as you like. What you do is you try to find an image that you know looks personal. Right? So, this is like a selfie type of image. I just happen to really like this. I love dogs. So, this worked out really well and you know obviously if you’re another dog person you might connect with it as well. You know, we have another one that was a Mary Cross and we just, you know, found a picture where she was taking kind of a selfie and that believe it or not, just doing that can have a nice little lift. A big advantage to your Facebook marketing campaigns.
