Welcome, welcome, welcome everybody to Top Line Live at Five. My name is Brian Devine here with Top Line. And today, we’re going to be talking about how to improve your social media engagement. Now hopefully, by now you’ve watched enough of my videos or anyone whose videos to understand how important social media is, to the growth of your practice. And to keep things really short just to make sure you understand that social media is no longer an option in it. It’s just something that has taken its course over the last few years and that is that in order for you to be seen as a legitimate, thriving, relevant business then you have to be on social media. And a lot of our clients just, they don’t want to do it. So that’s of course why we do it for them. However, if you’re in that situation and you’re just kind of playing around with social media, you’ve got a few things going. You might be thinking, I am spinning my wheels. I’m putting all this content out. Nobody’s engaging with it. I’m not getting patients from it.


So let’s talk about what you can do to improve your engagement so that you don’t feel like you’re wasting your time. Because here’s the thing, even if you’re not getting engagement, even if you don’t feel like you’re getting new patients because of social media efforts, you are more likely to lose patients if you are not engaging on social media. If you are not putting out that content, then when people get a referral or they decide that they’re going to look you up for whatever reason, even if you’re running an ad and an offer, they’re going to check you out on social media and if you’re either not there or you haven’t posted in a month or two or worse, never, then you’ve got a problem. You’re going to lose that potential client. So it’s more about not losing those clients.

But let’s talk about what you can do to really engage with those potential patients. And what you can do is you can do a video that is really simple, really straightforward, but that gets that engagement and you can then do things like trivia. You can do things like quizzes. Here’s what I want to show you. So what we are going to be looking at here is just the simplest types of videos and that is to just grab a relevant quote or a fun quote and you make a video out of it. And what’s nice is that it gets people’s attention and they look at it and for whatever reason, quotes still do really well and you can do all these different fun, crazy backgrounds, right? Different texts and always have something new going on. We talked about how about some facts because people, they engage with facts. They want to know what is, what’s going on the world. They want to know some interesting things. So how about this one? The word nerd was first coined by Dr. Seuss in a book. That’s interesting.

┬áNow, here’s the thing, when we do images, we can actually throw your logo in there and then this one got a little stretched out. We obviously fixed that, but here’s the thing, you can attach your logo, you can have a fun little bit of information that people interact with. And then, a study indicates that smokers are likely to die on average six and a half years earlier than nonsmokers. So again, these are just putting facts out there and because these are readily available and you can easily make an image out of it, you can post it on social media and you’re not wasting a whole lot of time, effort and money in order to do that. How about something really unique and that is creating quizzes and these are really cool. And what’s nice is that we can even put a logo into these quizzes.

Now, we could do either, either after they click it, we can send them to your website or we can have them click continue and at that point, boom goes to your website. So then we just load up your website. All right, now how about another one? And this was a movie one. So we’ve got tons and tons of these and these are easy to find too. The idea here is that people, they like to engage with these types of quizzes. They like to get these types of facts and that they will engage with it. Now you might be thinking, okay, engagement, social media, that sounds all fine and dandy. In case you were wondering. I think it was. Knowledge is good.

The reason this is important and the reason you want people to not only see that you’re active on social media but to engage with you on social media is because every time they interact it gets more people to see your particular post, the more people who are seeing it and engaging with it, then you have even more chances for people to find your content and when somebody goes and checks you out and they not only see lots of content, but they see lots of engagement, well now you haven’t even better chance of turning that potential patient into an actual patients.

You can go and grab these quotes, get these facts, and you can create a quick little image, throw it onto your social media to create the engagement that you need.
