Welcome, welcome, welcome everybody to Top Line Live at Five. My name is Brian Devine here with Top Line. And today, we’re going to be talking about how you go about managing all of those different tools that you have at your social media disposal? So to speak and not lose your mind doing it because if you really thought about it, how many different social media accounts that you might need to be a part of and it can get overwhelming. Now, I will say that the most important one right now is still Facebook and then yes, Twitter does help when it comes to engagement and search engine optimization.
There are all kinds of benefits for that and you know it’s hard to. It’s hard to see with twitter as much as it is with Facebook, but there’s still some value there. Then, how about Pinterest? Is there some value there? Well, if you’ve got a lot of images that you’re putting out there, Pinterest can be a great place and it’s also a citation. If you haven’t seen the citation video, do a quick search for citations and you’ll see that Pinterest does create a citation and then the list goes on and on and on. Now, the good news is that Google plus is out of the picture. I mean, they are going to be shutting it down. I think it’s going to be a little while before it’s completely shut down, but there’s no point in starting one up knowing that it’s going to be turned off pretty soon anyway, but there is what is called Google my business posts. So there are all these different things no. How do you manage it all without losing control of the message, the quality of the offers that you might be putting out there?
And it does get a little bit overwhelming. And the simple solution is software and there are all kinds of tools out there to make your life easier. There are tools that will help you find content, and tools that will help you submit your content. You can schedule out an entire year all at once if you’d like. There are tons and tons of tools out there and I was going to show you a screenshot after. Screenshot of all these different tools that could possibly help and I thought, you know what that is? That can get a little bit ridiculous. Let’s just go with the 800 pound gorilla in that is hoot suite. If you haven’t heard of them, look them up. It’s hoot suite. They’re very inexpensive. In fact, you can just try them out with the free version and see what it does, but it connects with the major social media accounts that you really want to. It will also include YouTube if you’d like, so that you can just start scheduling your content like once a week or once a month. Here’s everything we’re going to put out and get it done all at once.
And if you’ve got somebody on your team that is in charge of marketing, you could just say, okay, I want the second Monday of every month, let’s have the entire schedule done loaded up into who and I can check it because that’s what’s cool about it is that you can just go in, you can check everything. Make sure that you’re happy with the schedule and all of the content so you’re in control of the message and the image and the quality and of course offer and have complete control and you’re not losing yourself and all this nonsense of social media.
Because here’s the thing, and if you’re like me where you’re thinking, this social media is just a time suck. I don’t want to spend all my life on it and I hope that other people don’t. But you know what; you still have to be there. And even if you don’t like it yourself, that doesn’t mean that you could just ignore it because it can really hurt your practice if you’re not taking advantage. So hoot suite, it’s like actually take it back. We use hoot suite along with a few other tools based on what we’re trying to achieve for our clients, but you know, we’ve used hoot suite for years and it just keeps getting better and better. So that’s the one that I always suggest that you start out with. And then if you find something that you like even more, feel free, but you know what hopefully, it is going to solve a lot of problems for you and make your life easier. And I hope you found this helpful today. Alright, that’s it for today. And I look forward to seeing you next time on Top Line Live at Five. Have Fun. Bye for now.
