Welcome, welcome, welcome everybody! This is Brian Devine with Top Line Management and welcome to Top line’s Live at Five, We’re going to be talking about something that, I’m going to be talking about this more and more and that is video marketing. I’m going to keep this one short because we’re going to talk about statistics and I’m going to try and spread these out. So, that you don’t kind of gloss over in the eyes when we talk about statistics. But, I want to make sure that you completely understand the immense value of video marketing when it comes to your entire marketing mix for your practice.
I’ve had clients that we’ve worked with for quite some time and we’ve done some great video work. Then, they said that, you know, let’s stop doing the videos. I almost always have to talk to them that we can skip the video part because it is so powerful. I don’t want you to take my word for it. Do your own research. I’m going to show you. Just, I’m just going to cover three quick statistics. Then, we’ll let you go.
I really want you to hear this the first thing that really popped out to me is a recent statistic. I’m going to read it right here. “It’s Facebook users watch eight billion videos per day.” Eight billion with a ‘B’ videos per day! Now, if you want to stand out in the crowd and you don’t have video, it’s going to be a lot harder. When you have video, you now have an entire group of people on Facebook that are absorbing and consuming video at a massive rate. So, absolutely want to take advantage of video on Facebook. This one, I did not know until very recently which is that, “Snapchat users watch 10 billion videos per day.” Now, I’m not suggesting that you have to be on Snapchat tomorrow or ever for that matter. I just want to make sure that you’re hearing the statistics that video is becoming more and more important and extremely valuable for marketing your practice. The third one that I’m going to cover here, it’s another Facebook statistic and that is that “85% of videos on Facebook are watched without sound.” Now, that I think is a very important factor and it’s something that I’m actually trying to work out myself. Now, I love doing these videos and you see me talking, you probably see money. It has moving all over the place all the time.
What we are trying to now to fix is two things: number one is, it we always go in and we will create the text to go underneath these videos and I’m blanking what its called. If you could tell me what it’s called, put it into the box here. It’s somewhere around the video. I’m just completely blanking on what it is. But, the point is, that if you can’t hear me and you see me, you know, just cleaning and putting my hands everywhere. You get to still see the text below it.
Now, the other thing that we are working on in ways to improve is, if somebody is seeing a video on Facebook and they’re, you know, we’ve got very little of their attention. They’re scrolling around. What can we do to kind of get them to stop for a moment? Even if they don’t ever turn on the sound, how do we get them to to watch and engage with that video? Yes, text matters, image, lots of movement. You know, even kind of, you know, like given up one of those but something to to really stand out. Those are the three statistics that I want to cover today.
I’ve gotten lots and lots of statistics. I’m not going to bore you with all of them. Now, nobody will get to them. I’ve wanted absolutely nothing else that you take from this Live at Five today – is that Facebook alone, you’re absorbing eight billion videos per day. We haven’t even talked about YouTube and we haven’t even talked about the value of having those eyeballs on your website or gain those eyeballs from social media to your website.
