Welcome, welcome, welcome everybody to Top Line Live at Five. My name is Brian Devine here with Top Line. And today, we’re going to be talking about personalization in your marketing. Now, the reason we are talking about personalization and marketing, and you might have heard me talk about this previously, is because it is powerful. It does have an impact and it can increase your results pretty dramatically and that’s why I want to make sure that we keep this in front of you because it is very powerful and there are lots of ways to do it.

Now, one of the most common ways is to use an email marketing tool that allows you to put, let’s say your patients or your prospective patient’s names in the headline and throughout the email itself. Now, we used to do that all the time and putting their name in there, especially in the subject line so that they could. They knew for sure that this was an email for them. How it really had dramatic open rate impact. Meaning when you would send those emails, people would be more like an open now that’s kind of gone away, that it’s become so prevalent, and now that if they see their name and an email subject line and they have no idea who you are, they’re not going to open it anyway.

However, there are things that you can do still that are unique and gets people’s interest. And what’s really nice is that one of the tools I’m going to show you, not only is it free, but it has proven when you use this type of personalization, marketing, this type of marketing that it gets people to click on the particular personalization that I’m going to show you. So what we are talking about here is a tool called nifty images, and you can see there is a free version so you can sign up for free. Now, essentially what we’re talking about and what I think is going to be the most important for you or the images because what you can do is you can create an image, and this is a great example. Happy Birthday image, some kind of an offer, something nice to do for people on their birthday and you can put their name in the image. So essentially the image itself has space here and based on whatever tool it is that you’re using to send out your emails, there’s usually what’s called a token and you place your token right over the image in the email that you set up and you use nifty images. All they’ve got all of the information, everything that you need. And what happens is when you send out that email, it will then have an image that is personalized and there can be in a 1000 percent increase in click-through with this type of marketing. So take advantage of it. And that’s why I wanted to show you nifty images because you can start just trying it out, seeing what you think, seeing if you find value and see if it is going to improve for your marketplace by making this customer.

And again, by having it in the image, it really feels like you have sent them something very special and very specific to them. Then there’s some this is kind of walking you through what you can do, but essentially the tools within nifty image just really great because you could have this basic image that they have for you and I think it said 100 years over 100 templates. So you don’t have to create the image, you can just pick from what they’ve got. And then you can put the token right there. And so, what you see is the first name and then so every person that gets an email, they’ll have this token and then they’ll put their name in there and it’s really that simple. So I just wanted you to get a feel for that because this is some powerful, powerful stuff and the increase in open rates and click through, especially where people are going to click on this image and then go to wherever it is that you want them to go. That is extremely powerful.

Now, if you are just thinking, well, what do I care, these are for my clients, my patients, I don’t need them to click on the email that I send them. Actually, if you can get them to click on an email that you send them, it’s really good for your search engine optimization. What do I mean? When you have somebody that gets an email and then they click directly to your website and especially to an internal page that is specific to whatever it is that they’re clicking on, they’re much more likely to spend some time on that website, on that page, and it increases the number of visits to your site. It increases your time on site, which is excellent for search engine optimization, so if you’re consistently doing that and you’re consistently getting people to come to a couple of internal pages on your website, that is going to go a very, very long way.

What is the other tool? This video I just put up here on my LinkedIn. It is a tool that I use that is called video remix, I believe, and you can check it out, but essentially what happens is if you click on that video, it’ll open up the video, it’ll render it. Now, it takes a little bit because it’s pulling the data from LinkedIn. I can also put the same post on Facebook, it can pull the data from Facebook and it is just a really powerful way to go. You can also put it on your website, have somebody fill out a short little form and it will pull out, pull the data from that form. So if you want to give somebody, let’s say a personalized walkthrough of your office, then you can just say put your name and email and phone number right here and we’ll actually personalize this video for you.

And now you have all that information on their database so that you can follow up an email and send those newsletters and offers and everything else. Then it also creates that video. Wherever it is that you want to post it, it puts their name. In this case it says, pull all that information, dental marketing specialist, Brian@toplinemanagement.com, and it’s got the little, little naughty and nice list and I made it on the nice list and I think it’s going to be so it just reloads and goes over and over again so it can drive people crazy, but it’s just a nice way and a quick way to personalize things. So if you were to say, check out the latest post on LinkedIn, or check out the latest post on Facebook and you get people to engage. Then, everyone that is engaging with this video that is clicking on it and watching it and hopefully sharing, liking, commenting, that means that everyone they’re connected to, we’ll see it. So it has a massive impact on your marketing overall.
