Welcome, welcome, welcome everybody Top Line Live at Five. My name is Brian Devine here with Top Line. And today, we’re going to be talking about something a little bit different from how we normally cover and that is what you are doing each and every day in order to move from where you are now to where you want to be. This is an important question because if you want to have the practice of your dreams, then you absolutely need to have a plan to get there so just dreaming of it isn’t going to do the trick and just hiring people to help you isn’t necessarily going to do the trick. You really need to sit down and say, okay, 2019, this is what we’re going to achieve. Here are my goals, here’s everything that we’re going to do, and then what you do is you start backing things up to what does that equate to every single day.

And I’m not talking about spending two to three hours every day on specific practice building activities. No, I’m talking about just making sure that you have something in place that you know that if you do these things consistently every day that you’re going to get exactly what you want. Now, why am I talking about it because that’s what we’re in the process of doing right now? We’re growing, we’re changing. Things are all kind of. It’s really exciting, but it’s also something that I realizing that if I don’t put it all down on paper, then I might be the only one that’s excited about it. Knowing what direction we’re going. So I’ve got to put it all down so that everyone on the team knows what the goals are, what we’re trying to achieve, why I’m making these big, drastic changes in what it means and how important it is.

And I thought, why is, why haven’t I been doing that for years And maybe you’re not doing it either and I want to make sure that you are thinking about doing it because it is so important. You know, and I’ve got these lists and I’ve got all these great things that I’m working on, but if no one else is on that same page, I’m not going to get there. I need help. I need all of my team working for the same bowl and you do as well, and that doesn’t mean that you got to give every last bit of information and numbers to your team, but it does mean that you need to let them know what the goals are, what you’re trying to achieve, what changes that you’re going to be making, and then set up one little thing that you know. If you do this one thing every single day, you’re going to have the results that you want. And you know, just off the top of my head, one thing that you can do that can change your practice is to make sure that you ask one patient every day for her review. And that’s it.

Now obviously, we’ve got all kinds of tools so you don’t even have to do that. But if you are willing to take that time and just maybe do a handwritten note and ask if they’d be willing to write you some feedback, excuse me, some feedback that can go a long way. And if you’re doing that over and over again, you’re not just doing it maybe once a month, but you’re doing it every day. It grows and grows and grows and then it gets easier to start doing other things that you want to do. And if that means that every single day you’re saying, okay, what is the program that we’re going to be running next month and the month after that. And then what are the different things that we’re going to be doing to improve the practice? By having something in place, by knowing the plan, knowing what you want to achieve, you can get there.

So hopefully you’re going to take some action on this. This is what we’re in the process of doing right now. It’s the end of the year. So it’s the perfect time to do it. We’re taking what we did last year and we’re seeing what, what worked, what didn’t. And then we’re moving on so that we can make sure that we achieve what we want for 2019. And I hope that you do the same. All right, that’s what I wanted to cover today. I hope you found some value in it and I look forward to seeing you next time on Top Line Live at Five. Bye for now.
