Welcome, welcome, welcome everybody to Top Line Live at Five. My name is Brian here with Top Line. And today, we’re going to talk about the importance of your online reputation and more specifically I want to make sure that we cover the question that I had been being asked a lot lately, which is kind of why do I need this online reputation? Now, the reason that this has been coming up is because I’m working with some new clients. The offline, they have a very good reputation and they’re also very good at what they do so when they have an opportunity to speak with the potential patient, they are very good at getting them to start treatment and their whole point was. I don’t need any. I don’t need an online reputation in order to get people to start treatment with me. What I need are more potential patients to talk to that I can convince to start treatment.

And the answer to the question is in the question they need more people, more potential patients to talk to in order to have more patients start treatment. And the only way that we can do that is to have a rock solid online reputation and that is the whole point of this conversation because when you are good at what you do and you know that when somebody comes in, you’re going to do a great job, create a wonderful experience, so they’re going to want to start treatment with you. The trick now is getting more people in front of you and in order to do that, we need a great online reputation. Now, you’ve heard me say it before and if you haven’t, I’m going to say it again.

There are three things that people do when they search you online. Now, whether they were given a referral, whether they looked you up just because they were looking for someone with your services near them, or they saw an offer that you placed online. They’re going to do these three things. They’re going to a take a look at your website to make sure that it looks new and relevant. They’re going to look at your social media, mostly Facebook to make sure that you are there and that you’re engaged, and then finally they’re going to look at your online reviews and you’ve probably seen one of my videos where we talk about what happens right now with averages. People are going to look at six to 10 reviews before they’re going to feel like they’ve seen enough to trust you and they’re also looking for recent and relevant reviews. So you can’t just have your staff, write a bunch of reviews and then you leave them up there for the next five years. It is really important. The reason that I’m covering this again and again is because the questions continue to come because there was this sort of misunderstanding of the purpose of a great online reputation.

It’s not to help you get someone to say yes to you when they’ve come in. It’s to help you get the person to come in in the first place. And that is the trick because in the world there are so many opportunities for people and they’re getting hit with so many different kinds of advertising that they turn to their phones or their tablets to get information on you before they make a decision and you better have everything just rock solid and ready to go for them so that they feel comfortable taking advantage of whatever offer they may have seen or if they’ve been given a referral from a friend or family member. And remember those referrals from friends and family are still the absolute best source of getting new patients because they’re usually going to just get started with treatment. But here’s the thing, most people are still going to look your reviews up, even if they’re given a referral from a friend or family so you cannot ignore it.

And if the whole point of working on your online marketing in general is to get more new patient flow to get more coming in, then you’ve got to have those three pillars in place and that there are rock solid and reputation is really important. It is more important now than it’s ever been. More people expect to be able to find reviews, in fact knew we were recently a deciding on a construction company to go with and we started looking at godly number of reviews and there were coming that we went with, had an enormous number of reviews and they were all really good, so we started digging, trying to find some negative reviews so that we can at least say, they’re not just falsely creating reviews because come on, everybody screws up. And so we did find a couple and they were. They were just normal screw ups that we could absolutely live with, but by finding so many we were.

We felt like we could trust this company to do the work that we needed done and I want you thinking that way because this is what’s happening in the medical world right now and I want it to be in front of it. Have a system in place that you’re getting those reviews. Make sure you understand. The point of those reviews is to make sure that when you get a referral, they call and come in so that you can do amazing job for them and that when you are running any kind of outbound marketing meeting, you’re reaching out to get new people to come in, that they can then find these great reviews and feel like they can trust you so that they will take advantage of your offer and come in and start treatment, and that is the whole point of everything that we do.

That’s what I wanted to cover today. I hope you found some value in it. If you have any questions, put those below .Wherever you found the video, hopefully there’s someplace where you have to make some comments, ask us any questions. We love to support you, so whatever we can do for that, we’re here for you.  That’s it for me. I look forward to seeing you next time on Top Line Live at Five. And that’s it for me. Bye for now!
